For five years in the mid 1990s I worked on the Star Wars Roleplaying Game line with West End Games (before the company declared bankruptcy in 1998). Along with establishing and editing the quarterly Star Wars Adventure Journal, I worked on numerous game products for the Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and other game lines, including the Star Wars Roleplaying Game, Second Edition: Revised & Expanded rules, the Raiders of the Lost Arc Sourcebook, Indiana Jones Adventures, Platt’s Starport Guide, Platt’s Smuggler Guide, and the Star Wars Introductory Adventure Game.
Over the years I’ve written about West End Games, the Star Wars Roleplaying Game, and the D6 System:
Read my views on various editions of West End’s Star Wars Roleplaying Game.

- Read my brief history of the D6 System.
I occasionally reminisce about my time at West End at the Hobby Games Recce blog. Here are a few of my most interesting memories of that time published under the “WEG Memoirs” category:
“The Interview” – About the circumstances surrounding my hiring in 1993 and the somewhat strange interview I endured with the company’s owner.
“Player to Publisher” – How I changed my view of Star Wars Roleplaying Game material as I transitioned from player to a professional editor.
“The Schedule Boards” – How did West End staffers keep track of multiple monthly projects throughout the year? The super-secret schedule boards.
“Mos Eisley Shoot-Out” – The background behind a rare, promotional brochure that included a stripped down version of the game to play with the included map-board and stand-up pieces.
“20th Anniversary of West End’s Demise” – My thoughts 20 years after West End declared bankruptcy, laid off all its staff, and lost the Star Wars Roleplaying Game license.
“D6 Indiana Jones RPG” – In which I explore one of the “lost” projects abandoned in the wake of the company’s bankruptcy.
